So if you remember a couple posts back, I wrote about wanting to do a more stylized shoot with hair and make-up done in the next year. I didn’t think that I would be doing it so soon…but this past week I had the wonderful chance to photograph a friends in a more stylized shoot. The wonderful Ana Crane-Simpson did hair and make up, and she did a fabulous job. It is pretty amazing how professional hair and make up can just make a photo pop.
I just recently met Heather and Sean, probably only a couple weeks ago. They just moved to Wilmore, where Sean is studying at Asbury as well. They are such a wonderful couple, and actually just got married this January…very much newlyweds! One day Heather and I were hanging out at a coffee shop chit chatting about this and that. I was telling her about my business and how it is a bit slower in the Winter months, people just do now want to go outside and get there picture taken in this weather. Well, I may have forgotten to mention this, but Heather is a Floridian and she and Sean have been in Florida for the past several years. Thus, snow is a delightful event worth documenting and being photographed in! She said she would love to able to have some photos of the two of them in the snow to be able to send to parents and to have for posterity in the years to come – to remember the couple years they lived in “un-tropical” climates. Then as we talked I got the idea to have her hair and make-up done. I had wanted to do a more stylized photo shoot for a little while now. The only thing was, the shoot was the next day…who would be able to do that on such short noticed. I thought, “oh well it’s worth a shot”, and I emailed Ana and awaited her response. Well…she had some time for me the next day, and we did our little winter photo shoot. Ana did a fabulous job, and it was so fun. Heather and Sean were so awesome to go out in the cold and freeze their butts off for some good photos. And at the end we warmed up with some hot chocolate and laughter between new friends.

heather is so glamorous, she has a kind of classic Hollywood look

Thanks Heather and Sean, you two were wonderful models!
