Ashley and Chris | Wilmore Wedding Photographer

About a week and a half ago, two wonderful in love people declared their love for one another in front of family, friends, and God.  They exchanged rings, vows, and a kiss to seal the deal.  They walked down the aisle, smiling the whole time, they danced their first dance as a married couple, the boogied to the “cha cha slide”, they ate cake, they looked into each others eyes with such an intense love they thought they would explode.  And at they end of it all they made their grand exit with bubbles flying every where.   Ashely and Chris Symes were married on April 17th, and it was a beautiful ceremony.  My husband Dave and I were blessed enough to be able to document this wonderful occasion.  We felt so blessed to be in the presence of such love.

These two are some of the best people that you could know.  Loving, kind, and glowing with love.  Thank you, you two for letting us experience your beautiful day with you!

In her own words*

1) What was it like/what were you thinking when you saw your groom/bride walking down the aisle/ standing while you walked down?

“When I was coming down the steps that morning, the thought that kept rolling over in my head was, “OOoohhh, I hope he likes my dress.”  Then it was, “Last night was the first night he stayed in our apartment, I wonder if he slept okay.”  Once I caught a glimpse of him, I just could wait to wrap my arms around him.
As far as the actual wedding, it was hard to see him until I had reached the pews where our family was sitting.  (I was totally astonished by how many people were there.) I was tickled by the thought that I’d get to spend the rest of my life looking in to his big blue eyes.”

2)What was one of your favorite memories from the day?

Before the ceremony a handful of my closest friends went to a salon to get our toes polished.  It was so peaceful and affirming.
During the ceremony, Chris’s first line in his vow was “I Chris, chose you Ashley to be my wife.”  I was utterly captivated by that thought.
Also during the ceremony, as Chris and I were able to serve communion to our guests, I absolutely loved looking in to the eyes of those who had challenged me so much in my own faith.

3) If you could give future brides/grooms suggestions for their wedding day, what would it be?

If possible, get married later in the day.  It will give you time to sleep in and move slowly….which promotes spaced for the profoundness of each moment to soak in.  Begin praying early in your engagement to be fully present.  A lot of brides will tell you that their wedding was a blur or a dream at best.  I remember almost all of mine.  The touches, words of encouragement, the faces of those I so deeply love….It was priceless.

*this will be a new feature that hope to do with all weddings*
