Babies, Babies, Babies

A lot of time life seems to come in themes, and a lot of times you don’t know why.  But right now, it seems as if recently babies have been every where in my life.  I just started babysitting for a darling little girl twice a week who is just the sweetest little thing.  Some of our good friends, here in Wilmore recently found out that they were pregnant  (we were and are so stoked for them)!  And a major part of my career is to photograph babies and children.  Babies are every where and have been on my mind a lot recently.  They are so sweet, so little, and tiny, they cry for you to hold them tight, and rock them, and sing to them.  I love them.  But what is it that I am supposed to be learning from them?  Maybe I am supposed to be learning about caring for another human being so delicate and dependent.  Maybe I am supposed to learn patience (because I can’t wait to have a little family with Dave…but we really want to wait for a couple more years), maybe I am supposed to learn about learning, and taking in the world like children and babies do, or maybe I am simply supposed to enjoy being around these tiny miracles.  Whatever it is, there are a lot of babies (or future babies) in my life right now, and I think that I like that.
