If you remember their engagement session you will remember that Kevin and Chelsea are pretty awesome. They are super cute together, stylish, fun, and totally in love. When we did their session on the river I couldn’t wait for their wedding. I knew it was going to be a lot of fun, and full of love and joy. And I was right. It was such a wonderful day. Their were tears of joy, lots of laughter, and love all around. I also got to shoot in the Round Barn at Red Mile which was awesome. It is a really neat venue.
With out further ado,

1.What was it like/what were you thinking when you saw your groom/bride walking down the aisle/ standing while you walked down?
I was REALLY nervous before I saw Kevin and everyone seated (I don’t generally like being the center of attention), but all of a sudden, I was completely calm and not worried about anything – just excited. I wasn’t even THAT embarrassed when I couldn’t stop coughing right before it was time for our vows…
2. What was one of your favorite memories from the day?
Honestly, just being with all of my best friends and sisters in one place. Most of them knew each other to some extent, but it was so much fun for all of us to actually hang out together for the few days before and the day of the wedding. Also, just hearing the band play our first-dance-song, a bluegrass version of the Talking Heads “This Must Be the Place,” kind of made everything sink in and let me relax and enjoy what was actually happening!
3. If you could give future brides/grooms suggestions for their wedding day, what would it be?
Drink a glass of champagne and DON’T LET YOURSELF WORRY. You can’t control what everyone else is doing, so just trust that the people helping you are taking care of things. Focus on getting ready and spending time with the people you’re spending the day with. If something doesn’t going according to plan or is slightly different than you imagined, ignore it, because no one else will notice and it’s not worth it to waste the few hours that you have! Also, we didn’t have a “set-schedule” for our reception. We did toasts, the first dance and cutting the cake whenever we decided we were ready. It really helped us to enjoy the night much more instead of watching a clock waiting for the next thing to happen!
