I met Kasha at the Salon Professional Academy in Lexington while getting my hair cut. It is a really awesome place for people on a budget who are willing to let students cut and dye their hair. It sounds like it could be risky, and it probably could, but I think I found two of the most awesome stylists there who I am tempted to follow when they graduate and go on their way’s to “real” salons :) Anyway the girl who was cutting my hair was named Shawnee, and she and Kasha and I hit it off and started talking about life, boyfriends, fiance’s, husbands, and of course with me in conversation, photography . I’ve been back several times since then, and love talking to the girls probably more than the awesome haircut itself! So a couple weeks ago Kasha asked me to do an engagment shoot of she and her fiance, and knowing how awesome she was, I of course said yes. I couple of emails later we met in Wilmore to drive all of over looking for photo worthy spots for their engagement shoot and these photos were born.
these two both had the most gorgeous eyes!
i love their playful attitude with each other. my back was turned and i turned around and just saw this happening. They weren’t even doing it to be cute in front of the camera, they were doing it because they love each other, and i love that.

this is Shawnee doing Kasha’s hair. she came along on the shoot for any last minute touch ups! that is what friends are for… especially when your friends are awesome stylists!
