Dix River

About a week and a half ago, I was reminded once again why I love what I do.  I got to go out on a boat bright and early one morning for a sunrise stroll on the river.  I went with my husband, and 2 friends.  Why was this work you ask?  Because one of those friends is the owner of a company that gives tours along the Dix River, which a real gem that I think a lot of people here in the Wilmore/Lexington area should check out. A friend and Asbury professor, Brad Johnson and I are doing a sort of business venture together.  He takes people out for boating adventures on the river, and he has asked me to be a part of his team as a photographer for couples and families that may want some unique photos along with an awesome trip.  Check out this post to see a sample of could be done on one of these outings, and here to see his awesome family!  And here are the photos from our beautiful boat ride.

what a way to start your day out huh? it was such a beautiful morning…and i got to spend it with my honey :) the fog was making for some seriously moody and awesome photos and of course we had to do a little fishing with our good friend Mr. Mullett, fisherman extraordinaire
just cause I think he’s cute:) this is Brad…doesn’t he just look awesome? well he is :)

It was such a good way to start the day.  If only everybody’s morning could start with a boat-ride, a sunrise, some herons, and time with friends and loved-ones, I think the world would be smiling a whole lot more :)
